Plus, this was my first time climbing outside.... I LOVED IT. ....and I'm more than a little sore this morning (time for some Advil!)
Here's a pic of our fearless leader climbing.
He makes it look like cake.... Nathan has Mike "on belay" making sure he's safe and sound.
I knew that Nathan was a good climber because I've seen him in the gym many times... But I have to say I was super impressed with the way he scaled those rocks outside. (Just like Spiderman!)
He made it look so easy.... (Not so much), when I got up there, I was amazed at how hard it was... but very satisfying.
...Yup, I got all the way up there! So, guess where I'm going later today.... To EMS for a new pair of climbing shoes! Our little outing reaffirmed my love for rock climbing... I'm going to have to figure out how to crammmm it into my schedule!
Back "on topic" Later this week, I'm going to show you how to replace a front fly zipper on a beloved pair of pants! (Not something I do often, ... but sometimes the pants need to stay in the closet....) Stay tuned.. Jen

Well, all I can say is: You go girl! And, do it while you can. I've got a few years on you and I had a cortisone shot in my shoulder today.
ReplyDeleteThe spirit is willing, but the joints are recalcitrant! :-)
I've often thought about embroidering a pillow, or yoga accessory with "Advil is our friend".
I know exactly what you're talking about... my other outdoor love, trail running has become too much for my knees... (Yuck) Rock climbing is "gentle" on the joints (at least for now)
