Learn how to adjust and sew the Jeans with ME on Patternreview.com!

Hey everyone.

I really have to apologize for my slow posting pace lately... each week seems to skip by faster than I can  keep up with!

I have two posts started....The first is a riveting tutorial showing you how to make a V-Neck version of The Tee.... This week, I promise.  The second is how to "A-cup" the Top pattern... By this week too!!!

Meanwhile, I have very exciting news.  I'm going to be teaching a bunch of new stuff on Patternreview.com (just click on the "on-line classes tab".  For those of you who own the Misses' or Women's Jeans, and might be hesitant to start working them by yourself...fear no more!  I'm teaching "Blue Prints to Blue Jeans" ... How to adjust and construct jeans.   The class is made up of pdf lessons, live chats (where you can get instant answers to all your questions!) and message boards (almost instant answers to your questions).  And, a bonus,  my lovely husband and I are working on an optional video series!!!  If you go and check it out, you can see the video sample that we did for the class.

Also, I teaching "Fun with Machine Embroidery" again.  It was a huge class last time.... Over 75 people signed up and we had a blast!  If any of you are sitting on your embroidery machines, not knowing what to do with them, this class might help.  We'll go over how to embroider on 5 different fabrics.... Denim (of course), silk dupioni, terry cloth, knit and polar fleece.

Anyway, that's the news for now, stay posted for V-Necks and A-Cups!

  1. I'm registered for your workshop at the ASG conference in Aug. What differences are there between that and the PatternReview online class? Will there be handouts at conference? Can the videos on Pattern Review be downloaded?

    Thanks for advice.

  2. Hi Claudia,

I'm so excited that you're taking my jeans class in Atlanta... It's going to be lots of fun. The class on pattern review will go over the same adjustments and also some construction techniques. ...But here's the benefit of taking the class in person, I have made muslins from the jeans pattern in every size. So we will start out trying them on to determine the correct size to start with and identifying which adjustments need to be made based on how the pattern fits you!

You will get detailed handouts at the conference (as well as in the class at patternreview!)

As far as the videos, they cannot be downloaded. They are set up to go with class and can be accessed for 1 year. I am working on a Jeans Fit Book that will have similar information in it.

Thanks so much, see you in Atlanta. Jennifer
