My Fav Oscar's Dress and Finished "Pgs" (aka pj bottoms)

Hi all... very tired, stayed up to see the Hurt Locker win best pic!  (Go Kathryn Bigelow).  Of course I was paying more attention to what everyone was wearing than who was winning!  I have to agree with the style editor on the Today Show, I think Sandra Bullock's dress was fabulous.  It's really hard to do gold and shiny!  One look I couldn't stand was all the ruffles--Demi Moore carried it off, but ........

On a separate note, my little sewer girl finished her "pgs" ...and had some scraps to make a matching hat!

She's been known to offer some "oscar winning performances" 

of her own.....

Here's a close-up of the casing.  She used a 3-Step zig-zag instead of a straight stitch.  It has more give and it's easier for a new or younger sewer to make it look perfectly straight!
