Here's my PR Jean Skirt..

Hey all,   sorry I haven't posted anything new and exciting in the last week.  I was working on my PR class--sewing a new skirt as I wrote the instructions (I think I ended up with over 50 pages of great stuff!).  And, I had trouble deciding when to stop working on the skirt...I could have appliqued, embroidered and stitched on it until next month, I love it!  Anyway, the class started yesterday and I've already had the opportunity to interact with some of the students via the class message board...   And, tomorrow is the first live chat with the sewer girls who are signed up.  (That should be really fun!) This is the first on line class I've ever taught, and I wasn't sure what to expect... So far, I think it's a wonderful experience.  (Teaching is the thing I really miss from my days at Manchester Sewing.)  Doing online classes might be the way to go, it gives me the opportunity to meet great sewers from across the country...and a few other countries too!

On another note, I am working on the turtle pattern from a few posts ago.  I'm thinking that I can make two versions in one pattern.  1.  The Turtle and  2. No Turtle...just an open neckline with a drawstring...Pic coming soon!

  1. Oh Jennifer!
This skirt is really different. I absoulutely LOVE it. It has a vintage victorian look to me but very hip and new. You are soooo clever.
